29TH FJL SAFETY SEMINAR
FUKUJIN KISEN LTD. CO. held its 29th Safety Seminar over two days at the FSC Training Center. The event was designed to strengthen safety knowledge and technical skills for both deck and engine officers.
Day 1 – Deck Officers (22 October)
The first day focused on safety operations. Topics included a case study from Tokio Marine Insurance, Bridge Resource Management (BRM), a review of the Safety Management System (SMS), and company updates.
Day 2 – Engine Officers (23 October)
The second day covered technical topics. Participants learned about GE SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems, including how they work, how to maintain them, and how to troubleshoot issues.
The 29th FJL Safety Seminar underscored our unwavering commitment to continuous professional development and operational safety. By providing tailored content for both deck and engine officers, the seminar deepened participants’ understanding of the unique challenges and practical solutions within their respective roles.
