SINGAPORE MARITIME PORTS AUTHORITY IS STRICTLY IMPLEMENTING THEIR RULES ON UNRULY SEAFARERS

Recently, a Fiipino 3/AE disembarked at Singapore for repatriation to Manila, when Singapore Immigration found that he was carrying a pellet gun, complete with pellets.

He was immediately apprehended by Singapore Police and was detained for further investigation.

He was detained for 24 hours and fortunately, he was only given stern warning for this incident, but was warned that repetition of this same incident and he will be detained for a period of three (3) years.

Carrying of this kind of goods, even gun replicas are prohibited in Singapore and any port of the worlds, which includes pellet guns, lighter guns, any other gun replicas, knives, knuckle busters and other items that hurt people

The Singapore Immigration also prohibits joining and disembarking crew to carry cigarettes and any alcoholic drinks

Being apprehended on any ports in the world will cause seafarers life and future. So, think of your family and follow all immigration regulations when joining and disembarking.
