PORT OF SANTOS REVOKES TRANSIT RESTRICTION OF FILIPINO SEAFARERS

A circular was issued by Brazil P&I, Santos on September 16, 2011 to all Clubs that Immigration Authorities in the Port of Santos, Brazil have revoked the restrictions of Filipino Seafarers’ movement on all Brazilian Ports.

With this, all Philippine seafarers holding valid seaman’s book and passport will be allowed to sign in/out or come ashore, but initially, only at the port of Brazil.

Other Brazilian ports are expected to follow suit soon
