19. ARC AND GAS WELDING COURSE

A two (2) days training course for Engineers Officers and Rating for familiarization and improvement of knowledge and skills in Arc and Gas Welding necessary for ship's maintenance and repairs. This course is based on IMO Model Course 7.02 and conducted by Lecture, Discussion, Demonstration and Actual Welding by Arc or Gas Welding which include the following subjects:

      -   Spaces for Welding Work
      -   Kind of Welding Work, Welding Equipment and Accessories
      -   Welding Machine Parts, Functions and Welding Operations
      -   Kind of Welding Rods, Gas and Adjustment
      -   Safe Precautions to Observe
      -   Exercises/Actual Welding by Arc or Gas
