14. BASIC COMPUTER OPERATION COURSE

A three (3)days course for Deck Officers and Engineer officers to improve their knowledge and skill in the modern computer used onboard in their functions as ships officer, conducted in Lecture, Demonstration and Exercises for accomplishments of ship's reports. The following subjects are given for their proficiency:

      -   Computer Fundamentals, Parts and Operations
      -   Window Desktop, Menu and Mouse Operation
      -   Working a Window, Dialog Box, MS-Word Toolbars and Menu
      -   File Management, Shortcuts and Desktop Appearance
      -   Creating and Formatting Document
      -   File Saving, Retrieving and Printing
      -   MS Excel working with Toolbars and Menu
      -   Text and Formatting a Workbook
      -   Exercises of Operating Process
