PANAMA REQUIRES SHIP’S SSO TO POSSESS PANAMA ENDORSEMENT
The consulate of the Republic of Panama hereby informs all owners, operators and/or manning agents under the Panamanian Registry regarding Panama Circular Note DGGM No 074-2009 issued by the Panama Maritime Authority – General Directorate for Seafarers on March 04, 2009, regarding the Ship Security Officer
Please be informed that Panama Maritime Authority will require all appointed SSO onboard to hold Panama Certificate of Special Qualification and will be strictly enforced by July 01, 2009.
